My cats LOVE cat trees!

At my house we have an area we’ve dubbed ‘cat town’.

We have a medium and two large cat trees, and we’ve clustered them together (two on a table) so the cats have a climbing wonderland where they can go crazy.

Enzo absolutely loves climbing, especially vertical things, and he also really enjoys sleeping in the highest possible places. Pecan is a wild child and prefers bombing about and leaping madly from one platform to the next. The speed at which they scale the trees is so impressive.

They also both really enjoy scratching their claws against the posts, even ones that aren’t covered in sisal ๐Ÿ™‚

So here are some photos of the various landscapes of cat town that we have tried, and what the boys have thought of them!

As you can see, the bros ADORE their cat trees. Even Pixie has an experimental climb and explore every now and then.

The boys love climbing so much that I want to get a cat tree for my birthday. I did think about getting one of the huuuuge ones (260cm WIDE!!) but realistically that will not fit in our house, our house is small ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m definitely asking for this though; the kitty room doesn’t have any cat trees in atm so it will be very much appreciated!

It’s modular too so we could keep buying parts and make it take up an entire room, designing it exactly as we pleasedย :rolling:

Today we turned the spare chinchilla cage into a cat climbing maze (Fabian tried the cage for a few days, too!), so here’s their current set up ^__^

And whilst Enzo is happily scaling the skyline, Pecan (who I call my little bottom feeder XD ) is just sitting on the ground, annoyed that we’re laughing at him ๐Ÿ™‚

Finally, here’s an updated photos of Pixie’s rash. It first appeared almost a week ago now, but got bad Monday, so we’re five days in.

  1. Question for you and your partner!! What’s the best option you can recommend for fleas? We’ve done flea dip, dawn soap, flea spray, the flea drops…can’t seem to get rid of them. Seems like once we get the dog flea free the cats have them, and then its just an all over cycle. I figured I’d ask you guys since you take in animals and I’m sure you’ve had this problem..

    • We’ve been lucky to avoid a flea outbreak so far haha! We use a herbal anti-flea mix and also sprinkle food grade diatomaceous earth on our carpets, furniture etc. Make sure it’s food grade. Other than that we haven’t had to do much, but from what I’ve heard DE is really good for fleas and it’s always bee amazing for mites in our chicken coop too ๐Ÿ™‚
