Today I’ve got some great images of the chinchillas and Enzo, and it’s a real struggle knowing who to post about.
The chinchillas were hilarious and something exciting happened (exciting for me anyway!) and of course Enzo needs a lot of love and attention because he’s poorly (kinda) and also because his Zooplus order arrived today and he has LOVED the toys!!
As I write this I’m still undecided who this post will be about 😛
Hahaha I just yelled down to my partner and asked which I should blog about, and he said chinchillas. It has been decided!
So the new chinchilla cage is working out really well, and we love the size. We really do wish we had some way to attach levels or shelves to the outer cage (the one with meshed panels) but even lava ledges can’t be attached there, because the screw part is too small for the washers to reach. Hmmm.
Anyway, the GREAT thing about this new cage (as well as the space) is the fact that the chinchillas can come out for daily play time so easily 🙂 ❤
Chilli girl was actually first out and was playing on her own for about 20 minutes today, as Bandoose was stood on the top level of the cage, peering out at her and grumbling because she couldn’t figure out how to join her!!!
To say how scared of humans Chilli used to be, I’d say she’s rocking it now 😀
Bandoose finally made it out and was obviously sprinting around the room and getting into as much trouble as she possibly could.
When Chilli comes out she has a nice leisurely pootle, and a few sniffs and explores…when Bandoose comes out she has to reach everywhere she possibly can XD
Here she is trying to jump over the barrier and get up the stairs – after this photo she succeeded, and didn’t come down for about 10 minutes:
And here she is climbing the Thickets that we had our foster hamster in, but have since moved her into a cage with better access.
The Thickets is supposedly a chinchilla and degu cage (only it’s nowhere near big enough!) and is sold at Pets At Home…there’s no way you could happily keep two chinchillas in there 😦
Bandoose doesn’t reckon much to the size, but she thinks it makes a great vantage point 😀
And the best thing that happened, that really made my day – for the first time Bandoose hopped onto my shoulder!! ❤ ❤ ❤
There were lots of other body hopping and fussing moments too 🙂
And this just a funny photo of a Bandoose-bum mid urn 😀
