Hoo boy is this gonna be pic heavy 😉
So the past few days Aubree’s cage has been open pretty much all the time we are home, and her log tunnel has been turned into a ramp to let her come out into her pen if she wants – she hasn’t yet, but she has climbed her front paws about halfway down.
Me and Aubree are getting on like a house on fire!
I have started ‘clicker’ training her, that is blowing on her face and then giving her a treat (the blow will be the clicker / marker, I am just teaching her it means treats at the moment!), which will hopefully come in handy…I’ll post videos once we make any progress 🙂
Along with that she will climb her front paws right up my shoulder & put her paws on my leg if I am sat by the cage, she will take food and treats from my hand, and sniff me all over. She is extremely confident so long as I am not touching her (touching her is scary because she has no clue it’s coming – fair enough!) – the ‘clicker’ training should help with touches and strokes.
Anyway, today for the most part I had a lazy day too (I’m wondering if my manic episode is finally tailing off – hopefully no more of these crappy symptoms!!) where I just sat by Aubree’s open cage and coloured, read, spent time on the internet, and sporadically fed her treats.
It was SO MUCH FUN 🙂
I love this bun with all my heart; she is fun to watch, fun to interact with, and obviously adorable! My dad ‘met’ her today and surprisingly he is smitten with her – he usually calls rabbits “crap pets”, but he loved Aubree and said how well she was doing and that he was surprised by how happy she seemed as he watched her!
Aubree spent a lot of her day playing, exploring and…sleeeeeping!
Cue the cute video and photos 😉
And yeah, she sleeps with her eyes open almost all the time haha 🙂
A few photos of her up and about:
Ball of bunny haha! And this is her pen area, as you can see there are no corners at all:
**edit** – forgot the video!
Finally, a certain someone was jealous that Aubree had my attention, and wanted cuddles 😉
