Mountain Climbing Puppy!

Raiden is now 15 weeks old, but these photos are from last week so in them he is 14 weeks old πŸ˜‰

Rey had one of his biggest walks yet last week. We walked to the next village over, passed through it, climbed up a steep hill and then began climbing a mountain – Raiden’s first time up one!

Having a rest part way up πŸ™‚

He had to stay on his longline (for obvious reasons πŸ˜› ) but he thoroughly enjoyed himself. We did carry him on the more ‘boring’ bits of the walk, but he made it up virtually the whole climb of the mountain walking.

It was a really nice day, it’s actually starting to feel a little more like Autumn now instead of summer, although yesterday was still about 17*C! The nights are very cold now though, and when we go walk the dogs wearing shorts, t-shirts and hoodies we shiver like mad!

Once we were at the very top we had a mini break. Raiden got a drink and we did some training, which he did very well πŸ˜‰

He had one last chance for a pootle

And then he was carried all the way down!

And he was carried down the hilly field

And he was carried along the road πŸ˜‰

And here is the journey in video form:

He was seriously tired afterwards and slept for several hours – bliss!

We have a big walk planned with Raiden and then Kasper today, so I might take my camera on one / both of them…which means I should probably go charge the batteryΒ XD

Also we have hit 15 on Raiden’s trick list! He’s almost halfway to catching up Kasper and Zoey now *party*

    • He’s actually more settled being carried than he used to be – I never thought I’d see the day! We still get almost constant quiet whining with the occasional head-splitting scream, but at least the thrashing has stopped XD

      • It cuts through me like a knife. I thought Zoey’s horrific screamy-whines were bad (well okay, they ARE…) but Raiden’s, sheesh! Thank god he doesn’t do it as often as Zoey…
