Kasper has been getting a lot of focus on the blog recently and, so Zoey isn’t jealous, here’s a post dedicated entirely to her 🙂
We’ve had a miserable few days here, weather wise. Utterly miserable. The past four days we have had almost constant rain…and when it wasn’t raining it was hailing. Yesterday we had 60mph winds thrown into the mix, too.
What does this mean for Zoey, the dog that hates rain, hail and wind? No walks, that’s what!
Consequently Zoey has been bouncing off the walls somewhat. In fact, last night after checking BBC weather we waited up until 3am for a lull in the rain so we could walk her!! And even then once we got outside it started belting it down, so we had to go back inside and wait another 15 minutes
Today it has rained non-stop sine about 9am. Finally we took her out about an hour ago, when the rain was lighter and Zoey could just about cope with it…god she’s a pain! I do wish she was more like Kasper, who loves walks in all weathers 🙂
Even after a 50 minute walk in a location Zoey doesn’t usually get to explore, she is walking around the room being an idiot…prancing in front of the hamster in his cage, trying to instigate play; trying to climb onto the table to peek at the guinea pig; grabbing bags from under the table and flaunting them in front of us…time to relocate her to her crate with some chew toys and a Kong so she can nap, me thinks!
Here are some photos from a couple weeks ago, when the weather was much nicer; snuggly Zoey looking possibly the cutest she has ever looked:
Zoey yawning in the sun
Which, unsurprisingly, really reminds me of this photo taken about a year ago in our last house…
These next two photos tell a story. In the beginning, Zoey was chilling on the couch, completely at ease –
Then, out of nowhere, a ruckus began on the floor in front of her!
Me and my partner ganged up on Kasper and began a wrestling match; there were slapping hands, loud cries, snapping teeth and growls aplenty. We were having a great time! Now, Zoey is usually up in an instant the moment anything even slightly exciting happens…but this day she was too tired.
So instead of leaving her patch in the sun, what did she do instead?
HOWL, of course!!
Last photo now – both dogs doing a sit-stay with the awesome Duke Nukem figure my dad bought us 😀
PS ~ she has just settled on the couch and curled up asleep. All is well in the world.
