Blanket bug

Because our house is so crazy-warm we haven’t had to use our heating once this winter. Yes, you read that right πŸ™‚

Sure it’s cool now, but when summer comes rolling in the heat of this house is horrendous. The dogs collapse in the coolest place they can find (for Kasper this means the plastic floor of Zoey’s crate) and pant madly…at night it’s too warm for Kasper to even contemplate sleeping on the bed with us, and he slinks off into a corner of the bedroom, panting. What makes it worse is that we can’t even open the windows to cool the place down as Kasper, dope dog extraordinaire, barks at every little noise!!

But anyway, none of that matters now as it isΒ winter. And as the house can get a little chilly, me and Zoey have been camping out under blankets. In fact, other than eating, playing and training, pretty much all she does inside the house is sleep – under blankets of course!

So here are the many faces of Zoey, our little blanket bug πŸ™‚

  1. Zoey’s very cute for a furry beast! Her love for blankets reminds me of my brother Walter. He’s always under a blanket. Until he gets hot. Then he crawls out, cools off, and gets right back under the blanket!

    • Thank you very much πŸ˜€

Hahaha that is exactly what Zoey does too! She refuses to leave the blanket until she is absolutely melting, waits a few minutes then sneaks back under πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you πŸ˜€ I wish there was some way to shut Kasper up, he’s so loud; I need to work on a “shush” command!!
