Yes, this is the Christmas post I promised you a week or so ago 🙂
See Kasper’s stocking in the above photo? We had it hung on our curtain rail. It was up for about a week before Zoey spotted it. For some reason she has an issue with stuffed things that have eyes. They terrify her. So she sees the stocking and begins her “huff”ing, and we have to take it down – the weird thing is, once we have the ‘scary’ thing in our hand and show her it, she’s totally not afraid at all and just wants to rag them! She did the same thing with the Mario plushy we have…weird, huh?
But anyway, yes, our tree is up 😀
I love putting the tree up, it’s the best part of the year. This time we put both dogs in their crates so they couldn’t snaffle baubles and chew on the tree, which is what happened last year…in fact we have quite a few decorations that have had fur ripped off (thanks Zoey!) and tooth marks chomped into them (cheers Kasper!)
We also have a lot of dog-themed decorations! My parents especially enjoy buying us dog-baubles, so I’ve lost count of how many we’ve acquired over the span of about five years. I’ll have to do a blog about them all, haha! Here’s one they bought us recently
And our awesome pink Christmas lights 😀
The completed tree! The star we usually put on top didn’t fit, so we hung a tiny angel up there instead.
And, because I’m apparently being efficient this year, there are even Christmas presents wrapped up under the tree! Seriously, I usually leave the buying of gifts until mid-December, so I am impressed with myself 😛
The dogs also got some Christmas goodies to celebrate the tree going up. These are from Yappy Dog in Lancaster, and are candy canes and snowballs.
The snowball treats were a lot bigger than I was expecting, but the dogs really appreciated them, and seemed to treat them as though they were mid-high value.
Happy early Christmas everyone 😉
