Nom times

We broke out the food bowls again today, which means the pups were being fed together. Normally they’re fed separately and either have their food scattered on the floor or put in a puzzle feeder, but every now and then we like to practice having them eat together to keep up their good manners.

Zoey has finally put some weight on!

Kasper, who eats a lot quicker than Zoey, is the one who has to learn to wait until she has finished.

He used to wolf his food down and then try barging over to her food bowl to eat hers’ as well! I used body blocking to stop him going near her, and he very quickly learnt to stand ย and wait, which was then rewarded with treats. Now he is a perfect gentleman, and will stand and wait until Zoey has finished eating. Then I release him so he can walk over and check her bowl is empty ๐Ÿ˜‰

Waiting for Zoey to finish without having to be told

Zoey is still on no walks so she has been bouncing off the walls today. She has slept quite a lot, but she has also played like a loon with Kasper…and Kasper has LOVED it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Normally Zoey likes to end play sooner than Kasper does, but today she has matched him perfectly, and even woke him up by chewing on his ear for an extra play session hahaha! Here’s hoping we will be able to walk her tomorrow without her injured foot opening up again…

    • I know, paw injuries really are a nightmare…at least Zoey doesn’t have to wear the cone of shame for this injury! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚
