A lazy Sunday

We’ve had such a lazy day here today…it’s been fab! πŸ™‚

The dogs have only been walked once each as my boyfriend has an injured leg. He has to wait up to a month to see a specialist, I hope he gets seen sooner than that…

In the morning we all chilled whilst I read my early birthday present; Victoria Stilwell’s latest book called ‘Train Your Dog Positively’. I only started reading it last night, but I’m halfway through already it’s GREAT! And whilst I read I had my two pups at my side, of course πŸ™‚

Then me and the boyfriend took Zoey out for a walk (Kasper had already been walked in the morning). It was a very boring walk, Zoey saw one other dog that snarled at her when she went to sniff it, so we rewarded her lots and lead her away. We did bump into a gorgeous Staffy pup on the way back but the owners didn’t let it say hello 😦

When we got back I trimmed Kasper’s ears with the dog grooming scissors that were also an early birthday present. I trimmed the huge tangles from underneath his ears, and shortened the fur on his outer ears too. Kasper HATES having his ears trimmed, but as he was getting fed treats continuously he coped very well πŸ™‚ Here he is after his haircut, sorry for the awful photos my camera batteries are dead so had to use the boyfriend’s phone…

Compared to his usual scruffball appearance!

And yes, ALL this hair was just from his ears!!

  1. Relaxing with a good book and a good dog or two is my idea of a perfect day. πŸ™‚ Kasper looks handsome with and without the hairy ears. Max has that long, wavy hair at the base of his ears, too.

    • That’s my idea of a perfect day too πŸ™‚ Thanks, I love when his ear hair is short, it makes his ears feel so silky! Does Max manage to get as many things tangled in his ear hair as Kasper does?! πŸ˜€

  2. I think you did a great job on Kasper’s scruffy ears — now they look very elegant. Aren’t lazy Sundays great?! I love the way your dogs are totally tucked up against you as you read your dog book. Seems they cannot get too close, doesn’t it?!

    • Thank you πŸ™‚ I think he looks totally different with ear hair cut short! Ah lazy Sundays are the best, and yep, both our pups really love to snuggle, which I adore πŸ˜€

    • Haha thank you, it’s Zoey’s favourite way to sleep…in fact she still tries to fit inside my dressing gown like she did as a 10 week old pup!! πŸ˜€
